Theo is a self-styled renaissance man; his body of work conveys the message that we are all, if we choose to accept the adventure, on a hero’s journey here on earth. Theo’s creative focus often takes on sexual, psychic, religious and political themes – sometimes in a playfully sarcastic way and sometimes with a sense of serious urgency because of the insight they provide into the current state of our human condition. The immediate purpose of his work is to identify and uncover the masks of secrecy and hypocrisy that individuals wear in an ego-driven, fear-based attempt to simultaneously harmonize and control the expressive and creative nature of their own soul journey in an uncontrollable world.
